Telmisartan is a angiotensin II receptor antagonists.
Telmisartan 20mg and 40mg tablet is a very well know medicine used for treatment of high blood pressure.

Telmisartan is a vasodilator that means it acts by blocking the substance (angiotensin II receptor) which is responsible to constrict blood vessels and dilate the vascular smooth muscles. And the result is the diameter of the blood vessels is increased, and through which blood can easily flow.
